We are Dreamed Up, a fresh young web design and development company dedicated to producing high quality, accessible web sites at perfect prices.
Our attidude to web design and development is based around two ideas, which we will mirror the values of the modern web: simplicity and style. We aim to follow these to create the best websites possible for today's people.
Simple web design is more than just uncluttered web design. It is clear, concise and available, so it reaches the maximum amount of customers. Ever become lost and confused when on a badly designed website? Simple web design eliminates this problem, saving time and money all round.
Stylish web design, on the other hand, introduces a positive user experience - keeping the customer surfing and spending. We believe this goes hand in hand with simplicity to provide a professional finish suited to any business.
How many times have you, as a user, gone to a web page and known that it was created in the 1990s? We aim to design future-proof, clear and concise websites, which won't go out of date quickly.
History
Dreamed Up originally operated through our 'Foundation Flash' website. Now we have separated the two, so Foundation Flash can continue to provide top-quality free Flash tutorials and Dreamed Up designs, develops and creates.
Foundation Flash was created in late 2006, and has received constant traffic ever since. We now hope to use the experience we gained through building the site to help use run Dreamed Up, which opened its doors in June 2008.
In this time we have built up a small portfolio, which we would like to expand now we have our own separate site. Though we are small business - a partnership, in fact - we believe this to be an advantage in times of change, as we can move quicker than other large, unwieldy companies, to deliver our products on time and on price, for all businesses.
Dreamed Up will be around for a while, we think, adapting to new media, trends and fashions.
Skills
Dreamed Up is comprised of two individuals, who bring their own skills to the table.
Harry Burt has experience in a wide range of web and desktop based languages. Of these, he would consider his fortes to be in the areas of:
- HTML,
- CSS,
- PHP,
- Adobe Flash,
- and MySQL,
whilst also being strong at:
- Adobe Photoshop
- JavaScript / AJAX
- SEO / SEM
- Content Management Systems
- Writing copy
Leon Aves also has a broad range of skills, and like to throw himself whole heartedly at any challenge. He prefers to work with:
- HTML,
- CSS,
- Javascript,
- and AJAX,
though he can also work well with:
- PHP,
- Adobe Flash,
- Vector Graphics,
By combining the strengths of both individuals, we feel that we can fulfil any role required of us, producing high-quality, accessible and usable websites for any corporate or other environment.
